auto-show-tex-delimiters: preference variable
Default value: 1
When the cursor is next to a curly brace or square bracket character
like {, }, [, or ] in TeX mode, Epsilon will try to locate its
matching character and highlight them both. If the current character
has no match, Epsilon will not highlight it. Set this variable to
zero to disable this feature. Also see the
auto-show-adjacent-delimiter variable.
