Epsilon User's Manual and Reference > Command Reference >

delete-rectangle

Delete the characters in the current rectangle.

This command removes from the current buffer the characters in the rectangular area between point and mark. Unlike the kill-rectangle command, this command does not copy the characters to a kill buffer. Also see the append-next-kill command.
